Abstract
The efficiency evaluation and ranking of knowledge-workers was always a challenging and important task in organizations. Each knowledge-worker can achieve specific performance level according to his knowledge and abilities. In this paper, a hybrid method of "Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA)" and "Shannon Human Potential Measurement" models is used as an evaluation process and a ranking and stratification tool for supporting performance evaluation decisions. In first stage, Shannon human potential measurement model is used for measuring knowledge of knowledge-workers. In second stage, with using results from first stage, DEA and methods like Bootstrap the efficiency of knowledge-workers is calculated and predictor of this efficiency is predicted for sample data. On the other hand, ideas about ranking and stratification focusing on computer-based models are proposed and supported as an alternative option for old methods. Based on concluded results from this comprehensive method, analysis and improvement of knowledge-worker's performance can easily be achieved through providing education and enhancing talents, abilities. In addition, managers can make more supported decisions with a view of their business and personnel future.
